There is no end of things to do and see on Quadra Island and recreation is a big part of local life and visitors' experience. The hub for recreation on Quadra is the Quadra Island Community Centre where our hard working coordinators work to develop a year round program of workshops, sports, cultural events and other services for all ages and interests. The Quadra Island Recreation Society is comprised of a number of committees who oversee, trail work, cultural events, community events and much much more. To read the current program visit the Quadra Island Recreation web site.
Facilities at the community centre include a large hall, meeting rooms, playground, ball park, skatepark, tennis courts a riding ring and a network of biking and hiking trails in the adjacent Blenkin Park forest.
Other island itself facilities include: boat ramps, hiking trails, mountain bike trails, places to run, campgrounds, great bike touring, a freshwater lake chain for canoe tripping and much, much more.
