Discover the shadows of Quadra Island’s past as well as the vibrant present culture by joining the Roots of Quadra tour! 

This package combines an adventurous and interpretive kayak day tour provided by Green Root Adventures   followed up by a traditional First Nations dance provided by Through Our Eyes.

Begin the day exploring Quadra Island’s shoreline by kayak with an knowledgeable Green Root Adventure guide. Travel back in time to learn about Quadra Island’s geological birth, First Nations beginnings, and European Settlement. Soak in the scenery and sun as you imagine the evolution of Quadra Island to its present state. Your guide will prepare a scrumptious seaside lunch for you before making your way back to shore.

Afterward, your guide will shuttle you to beautiful Yola Ranch to experience a unique First Nations’ performance. Rhythmic First Nations drumming and singing as well as traditional masked dancing will transport you into another world while the spectacular ocean sparkles in the backdrop. A light snack is also provided.
