Join Quadra Island Kayaks for a unique tour around the historical and scenic south-end of Quadra Island, jam packed with an exciting amount of local culture and cuisine along the way.
The day starts with a kayak orientation and briefing in Quathiaski Cove, then gets on the water by 9:00 am for your first strokes heading southward. After a short paddle we land on the beach for our first stop at the Nuyumbalees Cultural Centre to stretch our legs while taking in the cultural treasures on a guided tour of the We Wai Kai centre.
After visiting the museum we paddle onwards past the scenic Cape Mudge lighthouse to Tsa-Kwa-Luten lodge and enjoy lunch in the dining room over looking the waters of Discovery Passage.
From here we launch again for the exciting journey ‘round the cape’ taking in the views and beautiful shoreline peppered with Petroglyphs, colourful rock reefs and steep, sandy cliffs home to old First Nation's village sites.
Work up your appetite over the afternoon as we paddle the home stretch northward, surrounded by stunning mountain views. Arrive at the historical Heriot Bay Inn for a delightful dinner to celebrate the days journey! Package includes local guides, kayak gear, lunch and dinner.
