| Campbell River is the stepping off point on Vancouver Island for the short 10 minute ferry crossing to Quadra Island. During the summer months some scheduled floatplane flights do serve Quadra directly but the majority of travellers reach Quadra by ferry from Campbell River.
Campbell River is served by regular scheduled flights to the Campbell River and District Airport (YBL) from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) the direct flights with HeliJet from Seattle have stopped.
Seasonal scheduled floatplane services are also available to Cambpell River from Vancouver and Seattle.
BC Ferries provide another main link between mainland BC and Vancouver Island with regular sailings from Horseshoe Bay to Departure Bay (Nanaimo) and sailings from Tsawassen to Duke Point (Nanaimo) and Swartz Bay (Victoria).
